Tax Section Head
Job Purpose:
Review and prepare all Corporate Income Tax operation reports to deliver high standard quality tax services to increase SCGC reputation and minimize tax cost-by following the correct law procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Contact the tax authority representatives in all direct taxes related matters and the company tax advisor to review all tax claims.
- Prepare and review the tax inspection requirements by transforming the data from the balance sheet and income statement to the tax inspector’s required form to minimize tax claims.
- Attend all SCGC tax inspections and internal committees.
- Review the accrued tax charge is accurate and up to date to apply it in the interim, GL account and annual financial reporting of Suez Cement Company and its subsidiaries
- Ensure that the local processes are applied, deadlines communicated to ensure consistency.
- Prepare all defense memos to support tax manager of any case of defense.
- Prepare and review the CIT (corporate income tax) calculation that require local, forecast and operation plan proposes.
- Review the CTD (cooperate tax deceleration), Salary Tax, Stamp Tax, and the Real estate tax to ensure the accuracy of the tax calculations.
- Review payments to vendors with no WHT postings to request the missing certificates for WHT exemption where applicable to Provide HC Group companies with WHT certificates in origin.
- Review the realized/unrealized forex gains/losses in connection with the accounting department.
- Act as a tax advisor to all company’s departments for any matter that effect the tax to ensure the credibility of any tax related information.
- Participate or lead ad-hoc projects that may go beyond formal accountabilities to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs
- Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance
- Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or any equivalent
- Minimum seven years of experience in the Egyptian Tax Authority or a tax consultant firm
Preferred:
- Good accounting software user and administration skills (SAP FI, CO)
- Diploma of the Egyptian Tax Society
- Meticulous attention to detail.
