Suez Cement starts 1st phase of vaccinating staff against Covid-19 under MoH supervision in collaboration with Preventive Medicine Directorate at Suez Governorate
In line with its commitment to provide a heathy and safe environment for all, Suez Cement started yesterday the first phase of vaccinating its staff against Covid-19. The vaccine will be given over two dozes after registration on the Ministry of Health website. Vaccination will be carried out at the company's premises and under the supervision of doctors from the Ministry of Health and Suez governorate Preventive Medicine in collaboration with the group's medical service.
The early hours of the campaign have seen a unique turnout from the staff, indicating a high level of awareness among staff for protection against the disease.
HR Director, Sherry Bishara, said that there were huge efforts made to provide the vaccine in cooperation with the health authorities which provided all necessary assistance at highest levels. Our staff also showed responsibility and awareness and registered for taking the vaccine. She noted that the company's campaign included several clear messages through different communication channels calling for reassurance and trust and refraining from questioning the importance of the vaccine in order to keep life going and support the State's efforts to respond to the pandemic. We should not listen to rumors and positive attitude should prevail to keep everyone safe and sound.
"I am pleased to take this opportunity to thank the Ministry of Health and Suez governorate Preventive Medicine Directorate for their collaboration in providing the vaccine and medical staff needed for administering the vaccine for staff and also to thank the group's medical service for facilitating the campaign", said Sherry Bishara.
Suez Cement CEO Jose Maria said that providing the vaccine is an important step in responding to Covid-19, but it does not mean giving up protective measures which are the most important guarantee to contain the virus and avoid spread among group staff. He stressed that precautionary measures set by the Health and Safety Department must be followed, including masks and physical distancing including by vaccinated staff to ensure highest levels of safety for all.
