Suez Cement launches preventive, awareness initiative to combat coronavirus
Within the framework of its efforts to reduce spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Suez Cement Company organized a preventive and awareness initiative to combat the disease. The initiative was organized for workers in the ready-mix concrete plants in the New Administrative Capital.
The initiative aims at raising continuous awareness of the precautionary procedures, applying the health and preventive requirements and directives issued in this regard by the competent authorities about importance the social distancing, continuous hand washing and avoiding of gatherings. Also, bags of protective supplies and personal care, which includes hand sanitizer, mask and soap, were distributors to the workers.
Suez Cement Company has distributed more than 1500 bags to the beneficiaries of the campaign, which comes as part of the preventive and precautionary procedures taken by the State to minimize spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). A number of the employees in the company and commercial sector participated in this voluntary initiative, which comes within the framework of implementing the company’s policy to protect health and safety of employees, contractors and clients.
Suez Cement stresses that this initiative comes within the framework of its comprehensive program to apply a package of business to raise awareness of employees, where procedures have been taken to minimize gatherings, urge social distancing, reduce travel, allow work from home, extend periods of shifts to decrease number of employees in the work place at any time. This shows how Suez Cement is committed to its national role and social responsibility in the private sector, thus going in line with efforts of the State’s institutions and bodies to face coronavirus disease.
