Suez Cement, in cooperation with Orman Association, distributes Ramadan bags to thousands of families surrounding its plants

Jose Maria: We are keen to improving dialogue with our local communities

In cooperation with Orman Association, Suez Cement Group of Companies (SCGC) distributed bags of foodstuffs to thousands of families in the areas surrounding its plants in Helwan, Kattameya and Suez on the occasion of the holy fasting month of Ramadan. A number of SCGC employees have taken part in the distribution of food bags in cooperation with Al-Orman charity association.

"We are pleased to contribute to the distribution of Ramadan bags " said CEO of Suez Cement Group of Companies, Jose Maria, said. "The company is keen to improving dialogue with the local communities", he added. Mr. Jose Maria further stressed that the private sector must demonstrate a social and humanitarian role.

The General Manager of Orman Association Major general Mamdouh Sha’aban said that the Association welcomes fruitful cooperation with all Egyptian leading economic entities to serve needy categories nationwide. He added that cooperation with Suez Cement companies and leaders enhances capabilities of the Association to plays its human role in serving needy categories in villages and districts in all Egyptian governorates.

General Sha’aban referred to non-stop cooperation between the Association and Suez Cement throughout the past years, the matter which shows the Group’s active role in serving the community.

Mr. Jose Maria, on his part, expressed his appreciation for Al-Orman charity association saying: "We are grateful for such collaboration with the Al-Orman charity association which enabled us to continue our social role towards thousands of families, and we thank it for ensuring that such good work reaches those who really deserve it".
