Safety Week 2026 reinforces safe working practices at Heidelberg Materials Egypt

27 October 2026, Cairo Egypt – Heidelberg Materials Egypt has marked the start of Safety Week 2026, bringing employees together around a shared focus on health, safety and the prevention of workplace risks.

Safety Week, held yearly across Heidelberg Materials, is an opportunity to strengthen awareness, encourage open conversations about risk and reinforce the behaviors and controls that help people work safely every day. It also provides a dedicated platform for employees across the company to learn from one another and take an active role in building a strong safety culture.

“Safety is a daily commitment reflected in how we work, how we respond to risk and how we support one another. Safety Week gives us the chance to renew that commitment and reinforce the behaviors that help keep our workplaces safe,” said Mohamed Hegazy, CEO of Heidelberg Materials Egypt.

This year, Safety Week will focus on four critical risk areas: road traffic and vehicle movement, suspended or unstable loads, entanglement and unsafe energy, including Lockout-Tagout-Tryout (LOTOTO), and working at height. These focus areas reflect situations where clear controls, consistent behaviors and individual awareness play an important role in preventing incidents.

Throughout the week, employees will take part in safety training sessions, webinars, competitions and other engagement activities designed to make safety learning practical and accessible.
