Quality Section Head

Job Purpose:
Coordinate the optimum operation of the X-ray analysis to analyze and test of product’s quality by ensuring the compliance of end-product with the desired standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:
•    Implement the laboratory policies and procedures for the plant’s products to identify potential discrepancies of deliverables from desired product standard.
•    Review and support daily, weekly, and monthly the quality parameters of the production process, including the quality of the final products by reporting to the Quality Manager all the relevant data to develop the necessary solutions and support any samples quality reports sent to the marketing, ministry, and contractors. 
•    Analyze raw materials and quarry samples quality problems by respecting physical and chemical analysis to support the development of end products that are within company specifications and in compliance with customer needs.
•    Performing the data analyses and statistical studies for detecting the improvement areas and optimization possibilities.
•    Execution and follow up for optimization trials based on scientific and research basis.
•    Supervise the efficient and effective operation of the laboratory by proposing and implementing corrections for deviations from established parameters or procedures to ensure company’s products standards and secure the satisfaction of client needs.
•    Monitor production’s efficiency and effectiveness in terms of product quality and volume by analyzing all the parameters of the production process to propose procedural and operational improvements that will support the development of high-quality products.
•    Ensure the company standard Procedures is applied for analysis and standard operating procedures (SOP) for chemical and physical laboratory to maintain high quality products.
•    Ensure all regulations of the laboratory equipment needed for quality assurance is followed to maintain lab equipment’s calibration and certification in accordance with the quality system adopted.
•    Ensure that all laboratory practices meet the environment and safety standards and the laboratory personnel comply with and support the safety programs to identify and report issues of consideration and support the alignment of the company with the local legislation and company’s standards.
•    Monitor and ensure the performance and the compliance of all the Process and Quality Control & Environment/Energy Management Systems to maintain the maximum level of reliability and the minimum level of production costs.
•    Participate or lead ad-hoc projects that may go beyond formal accountabilities to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs.
•    Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance.
•    Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.

Job Qualifications:
Education:
•    Bachelor’s degree in chemical or industrial engineering or any equivalent 
Experience: 
•    Minimum 3-5 years of experience in field

Technical Skills:
•    Excellent knowledge of laboratory product’s testing process
•    Very good knowledge of the cement products’ characteristics
•    Advanced knowledge of quality control methods and instruments
•    Exposure in process control statistical methods and experimental design and implementation 
•    Good knowledge of control tools and instruments
•    Knowledge of safety laws and regulation
•    Proficient in MS Office, Google software
