SCGC signs cooperation agreements with Helwan and Suez Universities

Aiming to develop students’ skills and positively contribute to the community

Cairo, November 4th, 2012. Suez Cement group of Companies has signed cooperation agreements with Helwan and Suez Canal Universities to develop students’ skills. The world’s economy is becoming more demanding for skilled labor able to reach new eras of innovation. The agreements are aimed to promote means of mutual cooperation in community development by helping and training university students to develop the basic skills required in a highly competitive labor market. Such agreements would also enhance the education environment for both students and teachers.

The agreements cover English language training courses for senior students at the two universities, as well as soft skills training courses. It will also provide financial support for students. SCGC will also be effectively contributing to activities and events related to the construction sector and will support social and environmental activities carried out by the two universities. The training courses will provide capacity building for students of the two universities studying at the faculties of engineering and science with cement industry related majors.

He added that sustainable development is an integral part of the company’s policy, which reflects its full commitment towards the Egyptian society.
