Production Section Head

Job Purpose
Oversee the day-to-day production operations, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and in line with quality standards, managing resources, and implementing operational improvements.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage daily production activities in the assigned section to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Ensure that production targets and KPIs are met within specified timelines and quality standards.
  • Supervise production staff and provide leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure that equipment is regularly maintained, and downtime is minimized.
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with health and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure that raw materials are available for production without delays and manage inventory effectively.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that production quality meets customer requirements and specifications.
  • Provide regular reports on production performance, including output, quality, and any issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts through the application of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Manage production costs, ensuring that operations are performed within budget and cost-effective.
  • Review and approve production schedules to meet customer demand and internal production goals.
  • Participate or lead ad-hoc projects that may go beyond formal accountabilities to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs.
  • Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures.
    including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc. 

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in production or manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. (cement industry experience has priority)
