Automation Technician
Job Purpose
Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting automation and control systems to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the factory.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot automation and control systems in production lines.
- Ensure automated systems are calibrated and functioning efficiently.
- Implement corrective and preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
- Assist in upgrading control systems and automating manual processes.
- Monitor system performance and propose improvements to optimize production.
- Support staff training on automated systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in automation processes.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Industrial Technical Diploma – Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year in automation and control systems maintenance, (cement industry experience will have priority).
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems.
- Familiar with control systems troubleshooting and calibration.
- Understanding of process automation and instrumentation
