Automation Technician

Job Purpose
Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting automation and control systems to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the factory.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot automation and control systems in production lines.
  • Ensure automated systems are calibrated and functioning efficiently.
  • Implement corrective and preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
  • Assist in upgrading control systems and automating manual processes.
  • Monitor system performance and propose improvements to optimize production.
  • Support staff training on automated systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in automation processes.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.  

Job Qualifications
Education

  • Industrial Technical Diploma – Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year in automation and control systems maintenance, (cement industry experience will have priority).

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems.
  • Familiar with control systems troubleshooting and calibration.
  • Understanding of process automation and instrumentation
