Packing Section Head

Job Purpose
Review the packing schedule according to production and sales needs by ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of products according to clients’ requests.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the allocated workload for packing according to production schedule to ensure the packing line operates in the most effective manner according to production needs.
  • Maintain efficient operation of the Packaging plant by identifying, proposing and implementing solutions upon any problem that may affect the packing and loading operation to ensure its smooth and productive workflow.
  • Follow-up and support all dispatch operation according to client needs by ensuring the timely dispatch of products according to schedule and client needs.
  • Maintain efficient packaging plant equipment and cooperate with the Maintenance department to solve problems identified to implement all the necessary activities that will ensure smooth operation and continuous flow of products.
  • Implement safe circulation plan for the vehicles coming in/going out from packing plant and operation procedures for labour working on loading activities and monitoring of Health and safety requirements.
  • Evaluate the performance of the packing’s equipment and operation’s processes in own area of responsibility by identifying and proposing improvements to provide support to the production team for achieving their goals.
  • Assist the production team to implement the approved methods of production improvement to establish standards of quality and efficiency are met within agreed cost parameters.
  • Coordinate with the production team for the accurate execution of productions’ necessary cleaning and maintenance activities, including the major shutdowns.
  • Undertake and implement tasks or projects assigned by the Cement Mill & Packing Manager with full respect to company safety roles as well as environment regulations, assisting him in the execution of his tasks and supporting their completion according to schedule and goals, e.g. accurate and cost-effective execution of major shutdowns.
  • Participate or lead ad-hoc projects that may go beyond formal accountabilities to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs.
  • Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.

Job Qualifications
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in field

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of Industry infrastructure, cement market factors affecting supply/demand
  • Good knowledge of packaging and dispatching operations
  • Knowledge of safety laws and regulation
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google software
