Cement Mill Section Head
Job Purpose
Review the cement mills schedule according to production and sales needs by ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of products and running cement mills effectively from cost and performance concepts.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the production process department regarding cement and clinker availability to allocate the specified quality and quantity of product to satisfy clients’ requests to report any packaging malfunction to the Production Manager to adjust accordingly the production of the plant
- Cooperate with the Process and Maintenance team to implement the Preventive process measurements and Maintenance programs, in order to ensure the maximum availability of the plant equipment to achieve the plant targets.
- Ensure the dust emission and taking immediate actions in coordination with the service departments to ensure safe environment and enhance efficient workflow.
- Evaluate the performance of the cement mill’s equipment and operation’s processes in own area of responsibility by identifying and proposing improvements to provide support to the production team for achieving their goals
- Assist the production team to implement the approved methods of production improvement to establish standards of quality and efficiency are met within agreed cost parameters.
- Coordinate with the production team for the accurate execution of productions’ necessary cleaning and maintenance activities, including the major shutdowns.
- Undertake and implement tasks or projects assigned by the Cement Mill & Packing Manager with full respect to company safety roles as well as environment regulations, assisting him in the execution of his tasks and supporting their completion according to schedule and goals, e.g. accurate and cost-effective execution of major shutdowns
- Schedule and organizes the provision of production supplies, e.g. grinding media, grinding aids and raw material to support the effective and continuous operation of the production
- Conduct a daily process equipment operational inspection to support CM & Packing Manager with daily operations personnel matters and changes.
- Participate or lead ad-hoc projects that may go beyond formal accountabilities to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs
- Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance
- Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any equivalent
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in field
Technical Skills
- Good technical knowledge of cement product features
- Knowledge of safety laws and regulation
- Proficient in MS Office
