Product Owner Section Head

Job Purpose
The Product Owner defines, prioritizes, and oversees the development of IT products to meet customer needs and business goals. He collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality product delivery, acting as a liaison between stakeholders and developers. They also drive continuous improvement, innovation, and compliance with industry standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes, gather requirements, and work with stakeholders to identify technology-based improvements. His role includes documenting functional specifications, collaborating with development teams, and ensuring that IT solutions meet business goals effectively and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps and IT project plans, clearly communicating tasks and milestone dates.
  • Oversee key functions within the IT product portfolio to ensure high-quality service delivery and support processes are in place to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure products meet user needs and business objectives.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients by identifying their needs and overseeing product delivery within the company context.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to refine and improve product offerings.
  • Determine ways to enhance product value while managing costs effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the product, assessing risks and opportunities.
  • Propose new ideas and enhancements to the product based on market trends and customer feedback.
  • Monitor analytics and metrics results to drive product performance improvements.
  • Utilize data insights to guide product development and feature prioritization.
  • Ensure projects (product changes and new features) meet objectives on time and within budget.
  • Manage changes to business processes, systems, and technology to support product evolution.
  • Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects to address emerging business needs and market demands.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineer or any equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT field

Technical  

  • Proficiency in business support software and IT infrastructure.
  • Expert knowledge of ITIL disciplines.
  • Experience in managing product budgets and finances.
  • Strong conflict management and resolution skills.
  • Excellent customer service, project management, and quality control skills.
  • Resource planning abilities.
  • Experience in managing third-party services.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
