Electrical Technician

Job Purpose
Support the electrical maintenance department by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, ensure the smooth and safe operation of all electrical systems in the plant.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, circuits, and motors.
  • Respond to electrical faults and perform troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and condition monitoring of electrical systems.
  • Assist in managing electrical equipment spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure all electrical activities comply with safety and quality standards.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives to optimize electricity consumption.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical and automation teams to resolve cross-disciplinary issues.
  • Update and maintain electrical diagrams, schematics, and documentation.
  • Install, modify, and repair electrical systems and equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair control circuits, PLCs, and other automated electrical systems.
  • Ensure electrical tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Participate in safety audits and take corrective action where necessary to mitigate electrical hazards.
  • Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.  

Job Qualifications
Education

  • Industrial Technical Diploma – Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, (cement industry experience will have priority).

Technical Skills

  • Familiar with electrical circuits, control systems, and maintenance practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical issues.
  • Good knowledge of safety protocols for electrical systems.
