New achievement by Kattamey and Suez plants

Employees of Kattameya and Suez plants have made a new achievement in safety that is added to SCGC’s record in this area. Suez has achieved, for the first time, one year without Lost Time Injury (LTI) on the 7th of December 2019 and Kattameya achieved three years without LTI on the 2nd of February 2020.

Commenting on this occasion, Health & Safety Director, Mohamed Shoala, said: “Suez Cement is paying big attention to creating a safe work environment for its workers, subcontractors and clients, being a cornerstone of the group’s strategies. It also helps achieve the desired operational excellence”.

He stressed that the group is supporting all workers to help create a safe work environment and awards them for their commitments towards safety standards at work including employees, technicians and engineers. He also expressed his pleasure that the group managed to significantly reduce the injury rate over the past years.
