Helwan Cement Company launches "Eid Joy" initiative

As part of its commitment to support the surrounding local communities and within the framework of non-stop efforts to consolidate the concept of community partnership, Helwan Cement Company, a subsidiary of Suez Cement Group of Companies (SCGC), has the pleasure to announce the launching of its "Eid Joy" initiative in which it cooperates with a number of charities, which take care of orphans and handicapped, to buy Eid clothes and gifts for children.

The Company launches this initiative out of the Group's national and social responsibility to bring happiness to the children on the occasion of Eidul-Fitr.

Commenting of the "Eid Joy" initiative, SCGC Chief Executive Officer Jose Maria Magrina said "As we are currently approaching end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, the Group sustains enhancement of its social responsibility towards local communities in different categories, particularly the deprived children. We are keen to celebrate Eidul-Fitr with the orphaned children for the third consecutive year, which comes out of our belief in their right to celebrate the joyful events of Eidul-Fitr like all other children.

We are proud of cooperation with charitable societies for the completion of our various initiatives which participate in serving the sectors of health, combating poverty, protecting environment, education and supporting orphans".
