Communications Specialist

Job Purpose:
Assist in the development of concepts and angles for the creation of communication materials' content.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Communication department in ideas/angles for media outreach and social media content creation.
  • Support the Communication in researching and writing press releases, and content for the company website, infographics, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up to date with relevant developments.
  • Assist the Communication department in arranging and coordinate press conferences, and planned events.
  • Adhere to the company’s style guide, ensuring that we produce a high-quality and error-free copy.
  • Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives.
  • Ensure that all the communication protocols are applied internally in day-to-day communication and working with internal departments to facilitate communication channels.
  • Support the Communication department in planning and organizing any communication initiative or campaign to maintain favorable public or stockholder perceptions of an organization's accomplishments, agenda, or environmental responsibility.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, Business Administration or a related field (essential).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in communications, public relations or advertising (essential).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Content writing experience for all media platforms.
  • Proven social media and networking expertise.
  • Creative mindset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
