Communication Section Head
Job Purpose
The Communication Section Head supports the development and execution of Heidelberg Materials Egypt’s communication strategy. The role manages key communication channels, agencies, content and campaigns while ensuring consistent brand and messaging across the company.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Social Media: Manage social media channels, content calendars, performance and community engagement.
- Agency Management: Support in the management of social media, creative, production and other communication agencies. Ensure quality, timelines and deliverables.
- Website & Content: Update the company website and develop corporate stories, news, announcements and other digital content.
- Media & PR: Draft press releases, corporate stories and external communication materials.
- Internal Communications: Support in developing internal campaigns and content for the intranet and other employee communication channels.
- Video Production: Manage video projects from briefing and on-ground production through agency follow-up, editing and final delivery.
- Events: Support the communication, branding and content requirements of corporate events and on-ground activities.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistent application of Heidelberg Materials’ branding guidelines across all company materials and activities.
- Digital Archive: Maintain a structured digital archive of photos, videos and key communication materials to preserve the company’s institutional memory.
- Partnerships & Sponsorships: Support communication and branding activities related to partnerships, sponsorships and external engagements.
- Campaigns: Support integrated communication campaigns around key company priorities, initiatives and milestones.
- Performance & Trends: Track communication performance and stay updated on relevant digital, social media and communication trends.
- Social Media Monitoring: Monitor competitors, partner companies and relevant government entities to identify trends, opportunities and reputational developments.
- Media Relations: Support in building and maintaining relationships with relevant media outlets and journalists. Coordinate media opportunities, interviews, press coverage and media inquiries.
- Participate or lead ad-hoc projects that may go beyond formal accountabilities to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs.
- Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures.
including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
Experience Technical Skills
- 5+ years of relevant communications experience.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills.
- Experience managing social media and external agencies.
- Experience in corporate communications, digital content and video production.
- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Creative, proactive and able to work independently.
