As part of its social responsibility…Suez Cement Group celebrates Orphan Day

Under sponsorship of Helwan Cement Company, a subsidiary of Suez Cement Group of Companies (SCGC), El-Shaheed Zakat Committee Society organized big celebration today in Kafr El-Elw Club on the occasion of the Orphan Day where more than 200 orphans participated in the event. This comes within the framework of deepening principles of social responsibility among individuals of the society while activating the Group’s continued role in supporting charity works and its responsibility towards the society.

 “Helwan Cement Company’s sponsorship of this event comes out of contribution in deepening solidarity among individuals of the society. He added that the company always participates in such celebrations and occasions that bring happiness to children out of keenness on deepening communications with the society”. Said HCC manager, Mootaz Yousry.

The celebration this year included 200 children from different orphanages, particularly located in the area surrounding Helwan plant. The children sharing spent a joyful day with several activities including development of skill such as coloring, art, sports, and many games which draw a smile on the faces of those children.

 It is noteworthy that SCGC adopts comprehensive and integrated strategy on the level of sustainability that reflects its keenness on enhancing its environmental, social, and economic effect through close work with different stakeholders thus achieving sustainable development. Suez Cement Company’s social responsibility methodology is based on developing the society on many levels through various activities and initiatives that serve many sectors namely, education, poverty fighting, environment protection, education and orphan support.
