Alternative Fuel Engineer

Job Purpose:

Manage the Alternative Fuels Supply Chain to achieve the Alternative Fuels Rate targets, identify areas of improvement to reach the AF rates targets.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Alternative Fuels Supply Chain to achieve the Alternative Fuels Rate targets.
  • Ensure Alternative Fuels is produced according to the specifications required to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Technical Department to ensure Alternative Fuels is delivered on time and monitor plants inventory to ensure smooth production operation of the plant.
  • Continuously seeking best cost benefit for the Alternatives fuels materials needed for the operations while creating leveraging business opportunities through negotiation and contract development.
  • Maintain the contract management system to ensure that all documents are properly stored & all stakeholders are kept informed of validity.
  • Monitors and follow up all Alternatives fuel materials quantity & quality to achieve the target and assures agreed purchasing conditions and terms fulfilled.
  • Implementation of procurement Policies, and Procedures, especially those regarding payment and risk management policies
  • Ensure that all data is on SAP accurately.
  • Communication, correspondence, and price negotiation with suppliers.
  • Coordinates all activities related to the procurement of a commodity from local sources beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
  • Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.
  • Implements & revises all purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulations.
  • Sourcing new suppliers to develop the approved supplier's list.
  • Review and evaluate the efficiency of the Alternative Fuels operation by identifying areas of improvement to implement the new operation methodology, standards, practices, and procedures by contributing to the cost minimization and profit maximization of the operation.
  • Work with accounting services to reconcile invoices and deliveries with a lens to operational efficiencies.
  • Manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.

Job Qualifications:
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering or Science or any related field.

Experience: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in field of Alternative Fuels.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience managing supply chain operations.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google software.
  • Experience using supply chain management software and tools, including Oracle, SAP
  • Cement manufacturing and supply chain knowledge is an advantage
