Process Engineer

Job Purpose
Analyze and measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the production processes and procedures by identifying issues for consideration and proposes improvements and technical support to the operation team to support the achievement of plant’s production and cost reduction goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor on a regular basis the parameters related to manufacturing operations and define instructions concerning process and key parameters for new or modified installations to support the smooth production process of the plant and the fine tuning of the equipment. 
  • Develop and propose regular process audits and tests to support the efficient operation of the production.
  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc production process studies, audits and plant process testing by identifying plant operating conditions and potential discrepancies from operating standards to support the productivity improvement in terms of quantity and quality. 
  • Analyze the audits and tests findings by identifying and proposing improvements and optimizations to increase the efficiency of the production and decrease the operational cost.
  • Provide necessary data and develop required reports to support the preparation of the capital improvement project plan by contributing to the attainment of the company’s qualitative and quantitative goals and strategic plans.
  • Follow-up and ensure improvements and changes of the relevant technological field to identify issues that may affect the operation of the plant and the future plans for improvement and growth, keeping the plant management fully informed.
  • Participate or lead ad-hoc projects that may go beyond formal accountabilities to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs.      
  • Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance. 
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.

Job Qualifications
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical engineering or any equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 year of experience in related field.

Technical Skills

  • Very good knowledge of developing measurements on production activities
  • Experience on developing and implementing operational audits
  • Experience and knowledge of the cement operational process will be considered a strong asset
  • Knowledge of safety laws and regulation
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google software
