Senior Planning Engineer
Job Purpose
Analyze the expressed maintenance needs of the plant and develop the annual maintenance planning, controlling and evaluating its accurate execution to ensure that all procurement activities are performed according to schedule and budget, covering on-time the operational needs of the plant.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop annual maintenance cost forecasting according to maintenance needs, using all the necessary tools that will enable the most effective cost estimation and control, thus assisting in the accurate formulation of department’s budget.
- Follow-up and control all maintenance activities to identify compliance to budget by providing the necessary information to management.
- Analyze the expressed maintenance needs of the plant and prepare the maintenance schedule / plan that fits and respond to the operational needs of the company by utilizing the resources in the most efficient manner.
- Prepare studies on recurring problems of equipment reliability or problems relating to safety and work conditions, in order provide analysis to the management that will facilitate the selection of the necessary corrective and proactive activities.
- Draw up the spare parts specifications according to maintenance needs and requirements by communicating all the necessary information to the purchasing department to assist in the reduction of the spare part inventory level.
- Follow-up and review all spare parts purchasing orders to ensure their accurate execution and availability when needed.
- Prepare, with the assistance of the production units, weekly mechanical and electrical maintenance programs, annual shutdowns, inspection and lubrication plans, contributing to the smooth operation of the plant.
- Develop the computer maintenance management system (SAP-PM) and ensure that the maintenance practices comply with Company’s standards.
- Conduct, in cooperation with all maintenance department, on-the-job training or workshop courses to enhance the technical knowledge and expertise of all maintenance personnel.
- Analyze the feedback received after each maintenance activity to develop the appropriate reporting to the MCC Manager and adjust the maintenance schedule accordingly.
- Participate and conduct team meeting with the team and/or other department team to achieve high level of communication and cooperation.
- Proceed to evaluations of deliverables from maintenance sub-contractors, retrieving the necessary information from all relevant departments to assist in the selection of the most efficient providers.
- Ensure that the MCC data base are updated on a regular basis by supporting the most efficient observation of maintenance activities.
- Review and support the main revisions (SD) planning.
- Motivate develop and manage his team to ensure high level of initiative, cooperation and personal development opportunities.
- Participate or lead ad-hoc projects that may go beyond formal accountabilities to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs.
- Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or any equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 4-7 years of experience in the same field – cement industry
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance management methods of predictive inspection tools (SAP & AutoCAD)
- Experience in maintenance planning and budgeting
- Very good knowledge of cement products and cement production processes
- Knowledge of safety laws and regulation
- Proficient in MS Office, Google software
