Senior Inspection Engineer
Job Purpose
Review and support the analysis of the plant’s operations and evaluates if they operate according to designed parameters to predict future incidents and support the preventive maintenance activities that ensure minimum downtime of operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure all plant operating indexes are accurate and compare them with designed and approved parameters by conducting gap analysis and identify potential discrepancies by proposing solutions for improvement and compliance with specifications.
- Review reports concerning the inspection results and communicate the results with the respective engineers to generate corrective action plans for identified discrepancies.
- Review analysis and measures all available data by proposing and applying preventive maintenance actions to optimize equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Support technical engineering assistance to plant personnel across manufacturing process by diffusing technical knowledge and expertise to establish standards of reliability and cost are met and improvement in plant performance are implemented.
- Cooperate with technical and other internal departments by aiming to promote effective information flow and timely improvements to manufacturing process.
- Participate in the determination of preventive maintenance schedule in area of responsibility to maintain plant operational efficiency.
- Develop and support new projects, measuring and analyzing results to assist in the effectiveness of the projects.
- Monitor performance of the equipment according to the defined KPI’s, providing all necessary information to the production and maintenance departments to enable the most effective optimization of production.
- Develop and review analytical reporting on issues identified during the inspections developed by providing the necessary information to the Inspection Section Head to proceed accordingly to all necessary steps that will prevent from future severe malfunctions.
- Ensure all relevant information is uploaded to the computer monitored maintenance system (SAP-PM) to keep track of all measurement results.
- Participate in the preparation of the maintenance schedule, i.e. daily/weekly/monthly etc., by contributing to the efficiency and more effective utilization of maintenance resources.
- Participate or lead ad-hoc projects that may go beyond formal accountabilities to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs.
- Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or any equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 4-7 years of experience in the same field – cement industry
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance management methods of predictive inspection tools (SAP & AutoCAD)
- Very good knowledge of cement products and cement production processes
- Knowledge of safety laws and regulation
- Proficient in MS Office
